Home and Away – Composers Working Abroad

Presented by the Washington Early Music Festival and

 

 

An Early Choral Music Workshop featuring music written in diaspora –

while the composer was resident in a foreign community.

 

Music by Peter Phillips, John Dowland, Richard Dering, Philippe Rogier,

and featuring

 

Lassus’ “Missa Bell’ Amfitrit’ Altera”

for voices and renaissance brass.

 

The workshop is directed by

PHILIP CAVE

with members of Washington Cornett & Sackbutt Ensemble

 

 

Christ Church on Capitol Hill, 620 G St SE, Washington, DC.

(about two blocks from the Eastern Market Metro Station)

 

Registration begins 9:00am. Workshop runs 9:30am – 4:30pm.

Adult registration: $40.

Students: $30.
